Thanks for your prompt advice. Unfortunately, need to report that I tried all the above and no success. I then did a repair on MS Visio, but still couldn't get dialog to display.
However, next day I uninstalled/reinstalled Visio and then reinstalled Process Modeler. Seems to be working correctly (and looks an impressive product).
