Hi,

Please make sure you downloaded the correct version of PM which depends on whether you have Visio 2010 32-bit or Visio 2010 64-bit installed, rather than the Windows version.

After the installation you should be able to see a menu called "Process Modeler" in the File tab, and upon opening a BPMN diagram you will see a tab called "BPMN".

If the tab and menu are still not showing, try the following:

I am having problems with the licensing process.

I have downloaded and installed the free version of Visio 2010 (32 bit).

I have downloaded and installed the Process Modeller.

The instructions I have been given for licensing the process modeller are:

After installation, please follow below steps to license your software:
1) Create or open a BPMN Diagram in Visio and select the menu 'Process -> Info -> License...'
2) Press 'New' or 'Change' accordingly
3) Now enter the license information values exactely as displayed above and press 'Save'. You are now entitled to use the software 10 times without final activation.
4) Activate your license via Internet or offline (not needed for evaluation licenses)

When I go to Visio and opena BPMN diagram, I do not see "Info -> License".

I need to use this software for the BPM Essentials course for certification. What do I need to do to install the license properly?
Thank you.

We have a strange issue installing FREE Process Modeler on a Citrix server on Windows 2003.
When I install the app using an administrator account, it works just fine: the splash screen appears when I click the BPMN Diagram, the Process menu item and toolbar appear and the shapes behave as expected. I can close and open Visio, and everything keeps working. However, when I log off the system and back on (with either the same or a different user name), the add-in doesn't load. No error message, nothing. When I look in add\remove programs, I can only remove the app, I am missing the Change button. Also, when I start setup again, it doesn't enter maintenance mode, as expected, but acts as if it was never installed. Only the stencil is available, but the shapes have lost their added functionality.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi Peter,

You can update the repository license by using Repository Adminstration. Repository Administration is part of the Process Modeler software, but is not installed by default. To install Repository Administration, rerun the Process Modeler setup and choose 'Custom'. Then simply check the 'Repository Administration' option.

The license is stored in a table named 'repository_info'.

Hope this helps.

I get this error whenever I exit Visio when I have opened a file that I have been working on with Process Modeller. I don't recall seeing it before I installed Process modeller:

Microsoft Visio has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience

And I don't get it if I simply start and exit visio, without opening any files.

I am using Visio Professional 2003 11.3216.5606.

Another Problem with evaluation key

Hi,

After installing the evaluation license I can't open ITIL templates.
I get a message "Your license doesn't entitle you to open this diagram. Process modeler has been disabled and the document will be closed." and after "OK" that's indeed what happens.

I think this is because I tried to evaluate with ITIL-only evaluation version before I got this full version with an eval key. Although I uninstalled the previous one it seems to have left something in my system resulting this.

How could I proceed and get into evaluating the full featured version?
