    OK, I get it. I was confused because the intermediate “circle-shape” wasn’t snapping to the border, and thus when I moved the border the shape remained in it’s isolated position. Perhaps, a feature worth considering for a future version would be to have the intermediate shape actually snap to the border of the task or sub-process.

    Thanks for the prompt reply Stephan. The question now becomes, what is the procedure to make the symbol express this construct? I tried dragging the intermediate timer event onto the image, and while I can make the placement correct, that procedure doesn’t logically associate the event with the task or sub-process. I will look around and see if I can “discover” the right way to do this.
