Import from various formats and generate “real” BPMN
You can import models from various formats (XPDL, BPEL, BPMN 2.0 – XML) and generate a BPMN diagram. The following model types are supported:
- BPMN2
- ARIS XML
- XPDL
- BPEL
- XLANG
- Visio
- PowerPoint
- Excel
The illustrations show you how easy model generation from an ARIS document (EPC) is.
The technology developed by IDS Scheer called EPC notation (event-driven process chains) has its own scheme for serialization (AML System). Process Modeler includes a translation of the EPC’s algorithm which converts EPCs into real BPMN diagrams.
As soon as you create a BPMN diagram from an AML source, Process Modeler can reproduce, upon request, the original EPC diagram (see above).
