    Hi

It appears that you are holding a Microsoft SQL server license instead of a MySQL license. Please log back onto our website and select the MySQL database when requesting the evaluation license.

If you are still having troubles please contact us again and we will manually send you a new evaluation license.

in reply to: Repository Items Disappear #28304

As written before. If you add Files from the file system with the same GUID (identifier of the model), TR will recognize them as the same models and will stack them into one trunk of revisions for this GUID.
This often happens when you copy models on the filesystem and edit them from there. File copy does not create a new GUID for the traget file.
Solution: While import just create a “new document” and NOT a new revision.

in reply to: Team Repository Config – MySQL Server option #28286

    Hi,

Are you trying to configure the client (Process Modeler) or the Repository Administration?

If during the installation with the Wizard you left all values to their default values, the default user for the client will be ‘pmrep_user’ while for the Repository Administration it will be ‘pmrep_admin’. The passwords are the same as the respective usernames.

in reply to: Process Documentation/Template Question #28274

    Hi,

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to document sheet by sheet. However, you can document by process level, which will probably result in what you are looking for (since usually each sheet corresponds to a process level).

You can use a pattern similar to this:
    %%PATTERN; type=activity;outlinelevel=1;recursive=false;hierarchical=true;elementfilter=Task%%

What is important is, it must be an activity pattern (do not let the name irritate you, you can filter by any element, not just activities) and the two attributes recursive=false and hierarchical=true must be set like this.

This pattern will insert a screenshot of the process level (the sheet) followed by the documentation of the elements therein.

Hopefully this is what you have been looking for.

in reply to: Roundtrip to XPDL #28254

Process Modeler supports XPDL roundtripping for BPMN 1.2 only. Since BPMN 2.0 itself is serializable, there will probably be no support for XPDL/BPMN 2.0 roundtrips in the future either, as it is not really needed.

If you need to export in XPDL 2.0, we highly recommend to create your diagrams using BPMN 1.2. Note that the XPDL 2.0 specification does not cover all BPMN 1.2 elements.

You will not need to re-enter the license key again as part of the re-install process. The key will remain in your Windows registry unless you delete it manually or with some sort of registry cleaner.

As a side note, we will be releasing SR7 some time next week in case you wanted to wait in order to avoid having to re-update again only days apart.

Unfortunately, yes, you will have to uninstall your current version in order to upgrade. We are working on a way to update without having to uninstall first for future releases.

However, you do not need to worry about losing your license information. These will remain stored and still available after the new installation.

in reply to: I can’t see a “Process” menu in Visio? #28248

    Hi,

Please make sure you downloaded the correct version of PM which depends on whether you have Visio 2010 32-bit or Visio 2010 64-bit installed, rather than the Windows version.

After the installation you should be able to see a menu called “Process Modeler” in the File tab, and upon opening a BPMN diagram you will see a tab called “BPMN”.

If the tab and menu are still not showing, try the following:

in reply to: User unknown to the MySql repository #28239

    Martijn,
This error causes if the my.ini file cannot be found in the Server path. The file is located typically under C:Program FilesMySQLMySQL Server 5.1

Could you try to place this file there and try again.
    Best.

in reply to: User unknown to the MySql repository #28237

In order to create a new repository, please use the Repository Installation Wizard which is part of the PM installation. The tool will create all necessary tables, including the one storing the repository users.

If you still get “The user is unknown to the repository”, please read my answer to the original post:

in reply to: User unknown to the MySql repository #28236

If you get the error message “The user is unknown to the repository”, then your user name was not saved in the database.

In order to enable access to the repository for your user, you will have to create the user using the Repository Administration tool which is part of the PM installation.

Start the Repository Administration, change to the “Security” tab, right click in the “Users” tab and create a new user. Make sure the user name you create corresponds exactly to the Windows login.

    in reply to: http://www.itp-commerce.com/BPMN2.0 #28226

    Hi Craig,

The schema is not available on the web site. We only use the URL http://www.itp-commerce.com/BPMN2.0 as a namespace for our itp attributes.

These attributes are specific to Process Modeler and will therefore be ignored by any other tool.

in reply to: Cannot Enter License Information #28224

    Hi,

Can you please make sure there is no white spaces on either end of your license key (may sometimes happen when copying/pasting the key)? Also, we are not able to find your purchased key in our database. Are you using a company key? Please send us an email with your license information to info@itp-commerce.com and we will check that as quickly as possible.

in reply to: connotation targer and source #28216

    Hi Frederic,

Generally speaking, when Process Modeler talks about source and target of a connection, it means the shapes attached to the ends of a connector. If you use a sequence flow for example, the target of the sequence flow is the shape attached to the end with the arrow, whereas the source is the other end.

In order to connect a Data Object to a Task in BPMN 1.2 you will need to connect the two shapes with an Association. In BPMN 2.0, depending on whether you have the newest version, connections are made with Data Associations. Thus, the source of the Association could be the Data Object and the target could be the Task, or vice versa, depending on whether you want to write or read the data.

NB. If you do not have the Data Association shape in BPMN 2.0, then you are running an older version of Process Modeler. In that case, you can use normal Associations to connect Data Objects.

I hope this answers your question.

    Regards,
    itp-Support
